Thailand to Vietnam, with the guys. A few places to be, plenty of room to wander. This is the plan so far.
The way we're thinking
BOOKED, NOT SET IN STONE
Bangkok, on Chai's terms.
Everyone makes their own way here on October 11. Steve is already in Thailand. Once we're together, Chai takes the lead for two proper, unhurried days.
Land. Meet up. Ease in.Different flights, different arrival times. No packed arrival-day agenda.
Leave it to the local.Two full days for Chai to show us around. If he needs us to plan anything, just say the word.
Next stop: Saigon.Fly to Vietnam. Exact flight still to be chosen.
The anchor: everyone meets in Bangkok on October 11.

OCTOBERThe middle is flexible. Arrival around October 16 depends on the Saigon to Da Nang travel choice.
THE PEOPLE MAKE THE TRIP

Room to do your thing.
John and Steve will settle into Hoi An, meet Dan-G and his group, and get clothes made. Luzzo and Chai can stay, explore, take a day trip, or head off on their own adventure.
No roll calls. No offense taken.
We'll catch up over a meal.

A few loose ends.
Saigon to Da Nang 01
Fly or take the proposed overnight sleeper train after exploring Saigon on October 15. Neither is decided. Train times and arrival timing need checking before we commit.
Places to stay 02
Hotels still need choosing. Bangkok for three nights, Saigon for a short stop, and Hoi An as the relaxed base.
Fittings & side adventures 03
John wants three days in Hoi An for time with Dan-G and suit fittings. Steve is joining for tailoring. Luzzo and Chai can make their own plans wherever we are.
The flight home 04
October 19 is the planned Vietnam departure, via Da Nang airport for the Seattle-bound travelers. Exact flights still need choosing.
